... Storm survey plan of the day for Saturday June 24th...
Bands of showers and a few thunderstorms, rotating around the
remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy, produced flooding rainfall and
tornadic activity. One storm produced a tornado of EF-1 intensity in
western Jefferson County.
At this time, storm surveys are being planned for the following
Jefferson County (fairfield): survey team on Friday was not able to
complete damage survey due to weather. Possible damage in the
McCalla area will be investigated to determine if the beginning of
the Fairfield tornado can be extended back farther southwest.
A possible tornado will be also investigated in far western Shelby

through the day, as survey teams report back their findings.
