* Flood Warning for...

northwestern Prairie County in central Arkansas...
southeastern Izard County in north central Arkansas...
Van Buren County in north central Arkansas...
northern Lonoke County in central Arkansas...
Sharp County in north central Arkansas...
southern Stone County in north central Arkansas...
northern Woodruff County in eastern Arkansas...
Jackson County in eastern Arkansas...
Cleburne County in north central Arkansas...

White County in central Arkansas...
northeastern Pulaski County in central Arkansas...

* until 715 am CST Saturday

* at 436 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain of up to eight
plus inches have fallen and flooding is likely if not already
occurring across warning area. Additional heavy rainfall is
expected Saturday, which will only increase the flooding threat.
If you live near a waterway or flood prone area, pay close
attention to water levels and heed the guidance of local officials.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Little Red river at Judsonia.
* Until Monday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 11:00 am Friday the stage was 31.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 34.0 feet by
Saturday morning.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet... minor flooding, farmland along the right
descending bank floods.
* Impacts at 33.0 feet... County roads along the Little Red river flood.
Extensive flooding of The Lowlands along the river. Levees protecting
portions of The Bald knob National wildlife Refuge may be overtopped.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Augusta.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Friday the stage was 29.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 32.5 feet by
Wednesday morning. Additional rainfall is expected beyond the
next 48 hours. Continue to monitor latest forecasts for any
updates.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet... thousands of acres of farm ground flooded.
County roads on both sides of the river are flooded, including
County Road 871 and 899.
* Impacts at 32.0 feet... thousands of acres of cropland and farm roads
are flooded in white and Woodruff counties. Water is isolating
homes and camps along the river in white and Woodruff counties.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the White River at Georgetown.
* From Saturday afternoon until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Friday the stage was 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday afternoon and
continue to rise to near 23.0 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impacts at 21.0 feet... Hurricane Lake wildlife management area and
raft creek bottoms inundated. Roads in The Bottoms are flooded.
* Impacts at 22.0 feet... farm fields and farm roads on either side of
Highway 36 west of Georgetown inundated.
* Impacts at 23.0 feet... minor street flooding in Georgetown including
Heath Scott drive and Riverside street near the boat ramp.

* portions of central Arkansas, eastern Arkansas, north central
Arkansas, southeast Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, and western
Arkansas, including the following areas, in central Arkansas,
Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, prairie, Pulaski,
Saline, and white. In eastern Arkansas, Jackson, Monroe, and
Woodruff. In north central Arkansas, Cleburne and
Independence. In southeast Arkansas, Arkansas, Bradley,
Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson, and Lincoln. In southwest
Arkansas, Calhoun, Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring, Ouachita, and
Pike. In western Arkansas, Montgomery and Polk.

* Through Saturday evening

* heavy rain fell across much of southern... central and eastern
Arkansas the last several days... with 4 to locally more than 8
inches observed. Additional heavy rainfall will be possible on
Saturday into Saturday night where an additional 1 to 3 inches
of rain are expected. Locally higher amounts will be possible.

* Given the recent heavy rainfall... the ground has become
saturated. As a result... the runoff potential has
increased... resulting in a high threat for flash and river
flooding through Saturday night. There have already been
numerous high water reports... including flooding of roads and
Road closures. Any more heavy rainfall may create additional
dangerous flooding situations.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for for high water
problems based on the current forecast of heavy rain.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
