The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 6 am to 9 PM PST Thursday.
* Winds... northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph Thursday
morning into Thursday evening. Winds strongest in eastern
Ventura County and the Santa Clarita valley as well as the
Porter ranch area in the northern San Fernando Valley.
* Impacts... gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles.
When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 6 am Thursday to 10 am
PST Friday for gusty northeast winds and low relative humidity
for the Ventura coast and Los Angeles coast from Malibu to
* winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph Thursday
into Friday morning... except 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph
across the eastern portions of the Ventura County coastal
* Relative humidity... minimum 3 to 10 percent with very poor
* Impacts... if fire ignition occurs, there will be the potential
for very rapid spread of wildfire. Long range spotting, and
extreme fire behavior that could lead to a threat to life and
property. Use extreme caution with potential fire ignition
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
will be occurring shortly. A combination of strong winds... low
relative humidity... and warm temperatures can contribute to
extreme fire behavior.
