* at 323 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain over Gilcrest. The rain was nearly stationary. Up to
four inches of rain have already fallen in the last 90 minutes.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Milliken... La Salle... Gilcrest and Milton Reservoir.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

nearly stationarly. Up to 2.2 inches has fallen near Windsor in
the last 30 minutes. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Windsor.

central Weld County in northeast Colorado...
northeastern Washington County in northeast Colorado...
northern Morgan County in northeast Colorado...

* until 715 PM MDT

* at 409 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated a line of nearly
stationary thunderstorms developing. They stretch from Briggsdale
to Antelope Springs to east of Akron. This will likely produce
heavy rain and cause small stream flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
The storms will produce up to 2 inches of rainfall in less than
one hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Morgan... Akron... brush... Log Lane Village... Otis... Hillrose...
Briggsdale... Goodrich... Jackson Reservoir... Antelope Springs...
midway... Platner... Weldona... Snyder and Orchard.

* at 341 PM MDT... a line of thunderstorms producing heavy rain was
located along a line extending from 4 miles northwest of Nunn to 7
miles south of Riverside Reservoir... and moving east at 5 mph. The
storms will likely produce 2 to 3 inches of rain in one hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
eastern Greeley... Eaton... Severance... Ault... Kersey... Pierce...
Nunn... Purcell... Lucerne... Gill... Barnesville... Riverside Reservoir
and Galeton.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

developing thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen south
of Fort Collins.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
southern Fort Collins... Greeley... northeastern Loveland...
Windsor... Evans... Johnstown... Milliken... Severance... Platteville...
Hudson... La Salle... Keenesburg... Gilcrest... Timnath... Prospect

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday
afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Colorado... east central Colorado... north
central Colorado and northeast Colorado. The watch includes
areas from the Front Range mountains and Mosquito Range eastward
to Weld... Morgan... Washington and Lincoln counties.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* widespread showers and thunderstorms will produce 1 to 3 inches
of rain this afternoon through Wednesday. Some thunderstorms may
be stationary or redevelop over the same places and produce
even higher rainfall amounts over smaller areas.

* Flash flooding of low lying areas... creeks and streams is likely
to occur in several locations this afternoon and evening. Rock
and mud slides are also likely in the foothills. If you live in
flood prone areas or will be traveling... stay alert to the
latest warnings and be prepared for rapidly rising water
levels.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Be prepared to evacuate low lying areas and move to higher ground
should flooding develop or a warning be issued. Be aware of the
flooding danger today... stay out of flooded areas and do not drive
on flooded roads.
