... Patchy dense fog forming across the western Carolinas and
northeast Georgia this morning...
Drier air aloft moving in over very moist near-ground conditions
is producing patchy dense fog across the western Carolinas and
northeast Georgia this morning. Light winds around the region will
allow the visibility in fog to fall below one-quarter mile in
some locations, and the dense fog could persist past daybreak.
Allow extra travel time and stopping distance if driving this
morning. Use low-beam headlights and fog lamps to improve your
visibility while driving. The fog should dissipate after 9 am.
