... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 am this morning to
3 am EST Sunday...
* locations... northwest Georgia.
* Winds... during the late morning hours on Saturday, southwest
winds will increase to 20 to 35 mph in the higher elevations of
the mountains and continue into Saturday afternoon. During the
evening hours Saturday northwest winds will spread across the
area with wind speeds increasing to 20 to 30 mph with gusts of
35 to 40 mph.
* Timing... 10 am Saturday until 3 am Sunday.
* Impacts... strong winds will bring down large tree limbs and
some weaker trees. Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least
20 mph... or gusts to 35 mph or stronger are expected. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.

... High fire danger conditions this afternoon into the evening
for parts of north and central Georgia due to strong winds...
Sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph can be expected along with gusts
of 30 mph. Gusts may reach as high as 40 mph in the mountains. Relative
humidities will remain high at 50 to 60 percent.
With dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities
concerning whether your may burn outdoors. If you do burn
outside, use extreme caution.
