The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central North Dakota and southeast North
Dakota... including the following areas... in south central
North Dakota... Burleigh... Emmons... Grant... Kidder... McLean...
Mercer... Morton... Oliver... Sheridan... Sioux and Wells. In
southeast North Dakota... Dickey... Foster... La Moure... Logan...
McIntosh and Stutsman.

* Until 1 PM CDT /noon MDT/ this afternoon.

* Heavy rainfall possible... with rainfall rates possibly exceeding
2 inches per hour.

* Excessive runoff will be possible that may produce flooding of
creeks... streams... and low lying areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

At 756 am CDT... a large area of strong thunderstorms were clustered
over northern Burleigh County... roughly 5 miles southwest of
Wing... or 26 miles northwest of Steele... moving northeast at 40 mph.

Penny size hail and wind gusts to 50 mph will be possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
McClusky... Wilton... Wing... Goodrich... Mercer... Hurdsfield... Tuttle...
Regan... Chaseley... Baldwin... Denhoff... Arena and new Johns Lake.
