... High Wind Warning in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 PM
The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 PM EDT
Monday. The Wind Advisory is no longer in effect.
* Event... southerly winds increase to 25 to 40 mph with gusts to
around 65 mph possible, mainly across the higher elevations and
* Timing... this evening through early Monday afternoon.
* Impacts... tree and powerlines may be downed. Driving may be
difficult in cross winds especially for high profile vehicles.
A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph and/or
gusts of 58 mph or stronger can be expected at times. Winds of
these magnitudes can cause property damage and power outages.
