* Flash Flood Warning for...
Harrison County in northeastern Texas...
Marion County in northeastern Texas...
Rusk County in northeastern Texas...
Panola County in northeastern Texas...
southwestern Cass County in northeastern Texas...
Gregg County in northeastern Texas...

* until 515 am CDT

* at 111 am CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
Widespread rainfall amounts of two to in excess of five inches
hasfallen across the warned area since Friday night... with
additional thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall moving
repeatedly over the same areas. Numerous roads are flooded and
closed... and driving is not encouraged tonight. Flash flooding is
already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Longview... Marshall... Henderson... Kilgore... Carthage... White Oak...
Gladewater... Hallsville... Overton... Waskom... Jefferson... Tatum... New
London... Clarksville City... Beckville... Elysian Fields... Woodlawn...
Joinerville... Berea and deberry.

Additional rainfall amounts of two to four inches... with isolated
higher amounts... are possible in the warned area through 515 am.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday late morning and
continue to rise to near 18.5 feet by Monday early afternoon.
* Impact... minor lowland flooding.

* At 945 am Friday the stage was 19.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by late Sunday morning and
continue to rise to near 26.6 feet by early Monday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Tuesday early afternoon.
* Impact... minor lowland flooding of boat ramps.

* From late Saturday night until further notice... or until the
warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Friday the stage was 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Sunday morning and
continue to rise to near 26.4 feet by Wednesday morning. Additional
rises remain possible thereafter.

* Through Saturday evening

* thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are expected to continue
to spread across the four state region tonight. Additional
rainfall amounts of two to four inches... with isolated higher
amounts in excess of six inches... will be possible through
Saturday. Given that grounds have become saturated from ongoing
rainfall... this additional heavy rainfall has the potential to
enhance runoff and result in flash flooding.

* In addition to the flash flooding threat... this heavy rainfall
will cause significant rises on area rivers and lakes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
