... Eastern Washington cities set new record consecutive days of heat
in June-July...

Yakima and Pasco in central and southeast Washington simmered in 100-
plus degree heat for 9 consecutive days from June 26th to July
4th... breaking past their old records of 8 consecutive days.

Yakima beat their previous streak of 8 days in a row of high
temperatures reaching 100 degrees or higher back in July of 2013.
Pasco in the Columbia Basin beat their previous streak of 8
consecutive days of 100-plus degrees from July of 1945.
